I travel for a living and I won't say this is five star rating because of the location or the overall look, but what I will say is it's definitely five star. My phone was dead and I was trying to book something at 2:00 in the morning and Lashonda Walker was so far above and beyond you would have thought you were dealing with the Ritz-Carlton. It's got to be tough being alone working in office in not the best area with full length Windows all around you. For the money it's definitely the best.

I just came in from an area that didn't have much. It's quite close to the Greyhound, couple casinos on the corner, the lady at front desk was great. Right next to JJ Johns, Teriyaki Madness and two blocks from Mexican Food. I grabbed TM for nostalgic reasons. I couldn't complain. The bathtub had a couple strands of hair but I've been camping with mosquitos, spiders, mice, deers, snakes, bears, and more, so I just wiped them off. The casino next door was 107$ + resort fee and deposit they were 79$ and deposit. Great for one night!

Room was clean with tasteful minimalist style; Great value if you don’t need extras like a pool, business center etc.. maidstaff were always around. River walk is a 10 minute walk down the street to decent restaurants. Everything worked, it has all your basic essentials. We were stranded here for a day or two and very happy to have stumbled upon this Travelodge.

The maintenance man Rob was very helpful and kind. Every time I needed help with the key card that barely worked or the TV remote that wasn't programmed he was the one that came and helped me, No matter what time it was. I don't like to complain and that's the only compliment I can give that hotel, Rob the maintenance man.

Front desk lady as aways super rude. She has soo many complaints, yet still there like a nasty spider ready to jump out at you. I come alot, she sees me and starts yelling and screeching every chance she's got. Terrible front face for Howard Johnson, sadly she'll run off everyone from there.

This is a hidden jewel in downtown Reno. It does not look like it but looks can be deceiving. Through some unfortunate circumstances on my travel I ended up staying here for 10 days. I will give you a few cons that might bother some people. 1. The noise level before midnight is a bit much, depending on your location you hear the people in the room above you walking. Also if there are people on either side and they are loud talkers or watch their tv loud you can hear them. Yes the walls are very thin. You can also hear noises from the street and parking lot. Once midnight and later comes it becomes relatively quiet. Friday and Saturday night becomes really noisy from the streets, this is not the fault of the hotel. Overall in relation to the noise situation you can get a good night or day sleep. Next I will comment on the room. A plus is there is no carpet but the wood floors do collect dust. There were no bugs, gnats or roaches. When I stay at hotels like these I come prepared with my own can of roach spray, I didn't have to use it at all. The bedding and towels were clean. The cleaning of the rooms were upon request but not difficult to get supplies you needed as needed. There were amenities available, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Also in the room you have a coffee maker, microwave and a mini refrigerator. There are minor cosmetic issues with the room and bathroom but overall if you don't look for them you will not see them. The tv situation was a little bit of a struggle. They use roku and at times there was a struggle with the Internet cycling and loading. I travel with movies on a portable hard drive so I was able to watch items from my portable device when I was tired of struggling with the Internet tv. I did not try the Wi-Fi on my phone or laptop, but I am sure it performed similar to how it performed with the Roku TV. The WiFi works but is sometimes spotty. The breakfast options are not very many but there is something. You have fruit juice, coffee( decaf and regular), muffins, danishes and cereal bars. After a few days of eating this you will want a regular type breakfast with meat and eggs etc. There is no laundry room for the guests. The parking lot is very compact. During the day there are plenty of spaces but at night it is almost full. The staff both the office and cleaning were very nice and accommodating. Be aware the hotel does charge a deposit which should be refunded at the end of your stay. If by chance you extend your stay there will be another charge verification which will hold money for a few days. Be aware of this so you have no surprise charges. Overall this is a great hotel to stay in if you are either passing through Reno or Visiting for a few days. Also the Howard Johnson and this hotel share the same office. The two hotels share the same parking area too. I would recommend this location for the price and convenience.

For a older and not so fancy hotel was good. Didn't mind what I got for the price. Highest floor 4th but did have two elevators. Or can use stairs which are everywhere. Very popular motel when we stayed but quiet. A bit of a view to circus circus and a block walk or so to the casinos. At night parking gets filled.so have to get there to get parking by around 9. They have a 24hour Walgreen that can walk to 1 block.
